Pawan Kalyan is a very good friend, says Ravi Teja

After doing a couple of films with other actors, Kalyan returned to Ravi with a new subject.

A video clip shot at the audio release of Nela Ticket has gone viral on social media. Why? Because it shows Pawan Kalyan looking intently at what we can only assume is Ravi Teja’s pant.

Responding to media reports regarding the video, Ravi Teja says, “I was wearing torn jeans, and there was a thread that got caught when Pawan Kalyan touched it. That’s it, there’s nothing more to it. People think differently, and they write whatever they think.”

He goes on to say that he and Pawan are quite close. “He is a very good friend of mine and he is a jovial person. We have known each other for a long time.”

Nela Ticket director Kalyan Krishna reportedly wanted to work with Ravi Teja three years ago, but a collaboration did not materialise at the time. “He planned his debut film with me. But at that time I was already committed to other projects, and so I told him not to wait for me,” the actor says.

After doing a couple of films with other actors, Kalyan returned to Ravi with a new subject.

“I liked the subject of the film children neglecting their parents. I play an orphan in it, and just like my character, I am a person who wants to maintain good relations with everyone. So naturally, I liked the script and agreed to do the film,” Ravi says.

The actor has multiple projects planned after the release of Nela Ticket this Friday.

Was the packed schedule a planned move? “I never plan anything. Sometime back I didn’t do any films and took a break because I didn’t get any good scripts. Now, I am getting a lot,” he says.

Ravi, who once said that he wouldn’t like to do remakes, will be seen in the Telugu remake of Theri. Clearly, there was something about the script that compelled him to change his mind. “No, I said that if any good subject came up, then I would do it. The script of the Telugu remake of the film is at least 70 percent different than the original. You will see the difference for yourself,” he says.

Regarding his son acting alongside him in the upcoming film Amar Akbar Anthony, Ravi says that is no longer happening. “The shoot dates are clashing with his school dates, and so I have said ‘no’. Education is a priority,” he says.
