The makers of his upcoming film Taxiwala are keen to encash the popularity of the Arjun Reddy star.

Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film, directed by short filmmaker Rahul Sankrityan is all set to hit the screens on May 18.
The film, tentatively titled Taxiwala sees Vijay enacting the role of a cab driver. “The shooting of this film is almost complete and they want to release it during the summer holidays. The makers are planning a big release of this film to cash in on Vijay’s market share, which went up after his hit film Arjun Reddy,” says a source.
The actor’s last film released in August last year, but he is not in a hurry to release his next.
“He is concentrating on the content of the film, so he is not in a hurry to wrap up the post production work either,” adds the source. Priyanka Jawalkar is the female lead.
