After playing the baddie in a handful of films, Kabir Duhan Singh is set to surprise the Telugu audience. For a change, the Jil star will be seen in the role of an exorcist in his forthcoming film, Nine, a horror-thriller directed by debutant Aswani Kumar.
“It’s a riveting plotline and I thought the role came like a breath of fresh air. Since it is a new genre for me, and because my character was given a different spin, I felt like being a part of the film. I want to dabble with other film genres so that I’d get interesting roles to experiment with. I play an exorcist here and I’d be visiting a house to cast out the devil or other demons in the house. It’s a very gripping story,” says Kabir.
Interestingly, with this film, Kabir has dubbed for a Telugu role for the first time. “It was actually the director’s idea; he felt that I have a good base voice. When he asked me to dub for my lines I was more than happy. It gave me the confidence to try the same thing for my forthcoming films too,” he adds.
