Divyansha Kaushik set for her debut
Divyansha Kaushik will be seen as one of the leading ladies (alongside Samantha) in Naga Chaitanya’s forthcoming film, Majili, directed by Siva Nirvana. And like a lot of youngsters, Divyansha grew up with showbiz dreams — films is what she wanted to be in. “I always wanted to be an actress; I was active in dramatic activities in my academics as well. As a stepping stone, I had ventured into modeling and was balancing it along with my academic pursuits, when the call finally came. Since my mother worked as a makeup artiste in the industry, I got a better understanding of how the industry operates,” says the Delhi-born.
Interestingly, Divyansha worked in the casting department of Yash Raj Films. ‘It was a great experience and gave me a sneak peak into the process of filmmaking,” she reveals.
Apparently, Divyansha had auditioned twice in Telugu for her part. “I had to audition in Mumbai and in Hyderabad, and on both occasions, I was given lines in Telugu. I tried to be as natural as I could, and I am glad that I was eventually zeroed in on,” reveals Divyansha. Although the actress is tight-lipped about her role in the romantic entertainer, she feels that it is a great project in which to be launched. “I am super excited to work with Naga Chaitanya and I couldn’t have asked for a better launch in Telugu,” says Divyansha, who has already made her Tamil debut in Siddharth and Karthik G. Krish’s film.
