Kannada Films Making Waves in the Last Week of November

This week brings an exciting lineup of Kannada films to theaters, bringing the total count for 2023 to 191. Among the array of releases, three films are generating significant buzz and could be worth a visit to the cinema. Here's a glimpse of your options in the final week of November.

1. Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye

Directed by Raj B Shetty, the debut production venture of actress Ramya, the film follows Aniketh (played by Raj), a terminally ill man who encounters a counselor, Prerana (Siri Ravikumar), at a palliative care center where he spends his last days. The narrative explores how his presence impacts her life. The cast includes Balaji Manohar, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, and Sandhya Arekere. Music is by Midhun Mukundan, and Pravin Shriyan handles cinematography.

2. Bad Manners

Directed by Suri, starring Abishek Ambareesh, Rachita Ram, this cop caper, marking the relaunch of Jr Rebel Star Abishek Ambareesh, revolves around the clandestine production and sale of country-made guns. The film's content has been kept under wraps, and the trailer adds to the intrigue. The movie features music by Charan Raj.

3. Sugar Factory

Directed by Deepak Aras, with Darling Krishna, Sonal Monteiro, Adhvithi Shetty, Shilpa Shetty in lead roles, this romantic drama explores the story of Krishna, a bachelor uninterested in marriage, and Sonal's character, who shares the same sentiment. Set in Goa, the film depicts what unfolds when they unexpectedly fall in love.

4. Leo

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, amid earlier speculations about Thalapathy Vijay’s Dasara release "Leo" heading to OTT on November 17, it turns out that a different film with the same name and an animated version with Adam Sandler took the streamer's spotlight. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, the Tamil original, is set to release with Kannada audio on Friday.
