Venkatesh’s next film Guru is all set to release on Republic Day. While a few big films are competing during the Sankranti festival, the makers of this film decided to release their film on Republic Day, which is a holiday.
The unit has completed a schedule at Visakhapatnam and has now moved to Chennai for a few days shoot.
“The film is almost complete and they will now start the post-production work. They want to take their own time,” says a source.
Kongara Sudha is directing the film, which is a remake of Saala Khadoos. She also directed the Tamil and Hindi versions, in which Madhavan played the lead role.
