Darshana, who made her Telugu debut with Aatagallu shares with us how she looks forward to her upcoming role.

“Earlier, I was part of breezy entertainers in Bengali cinema, but being part of a racy and action thriller such as Black gave me a new perspective over the craft,” points out Darshana, one of the rising stars in the Bengali industry.

The actress tells us that just as she has picked up nuances in the screenplay, she has also learnt Telugu during the lockdown.

“I believe knowing the language makes you express better, I think it is especially true in the case of emotional scenes — it makes a great difference when you know the meaning of your lines. Because I wanted to do more South films, I made an effort to pick up Telugu during this lockdown. It’ll definitely come in handy when I resume my shooting,” she explains.
