Fahadh Faasil is Allu Arjun's baddie
Director Sukumar has pulled off a casting coup for his forthcoming film, Pushpa. The film, which stars Allu Arjun, will also have the Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil in the role of the main antagonist. Incidentally, the film will also mark the debut of the Trance actor in Telugu.
One of the film’s producers, Ravi Shankar, tells us that roping in Fahadh for the part was a collective decision. “When we were discussing the antagonist, several names were tossed up. But our idea was to have a performer who could bring a fresh appeal to the intense character. And we eventually zeroed in on Fahadh,” reveals Ravi.
Incidentally, Fahadh was more than willing to come on board, we are told. “We wondered if Fahadh would take up the role, but when he heard the script, he was game for it,” adds the producer. “We believe someone of his calibre can do justice to the role.”
Ravi also tells us that the actor may join the sets of the action–drama next month. “We are figuring out Fahadh’s dates as he already has prior commitments,” he adds.
