At the pre-launch event of the Aha OTT channel, the main person behind the venture, top producer Allu Aravind, had said that he had invited a few more producers to the function to view the content. He did not mention any names, but according to our sources, he was referring to Dil Raju and Suresh Babu.
There were reports that Dil Raju may be inducted as a partner in the venture. Suresh Babu was also reportedly approached. But neither have said anything about it. The inference is that they are not interested because of the adult content that is to be aired.
“Dil Raju has produced clean films under his home banner and he doesn’t want to spoil his name by joining with a channel which has adult content. But he is still thinking about the offer,” says the source. On the other hand, Suresh Babu is completely against the idea. “Recently Suresh Babu had gone abroad, and some of his relatives and friends there had made adverse comments about this OTT channel. So he decided not to join in the venture,” adds the source.
