It is not often that a mainstream actress agrees to don shades of grey. The worry of being typecast, and the doubt as to how the role will be received makes actresses think twice before taking up a role which will show them in a negative light. But amidst all that, actress Catherine Tresa Alexander has bagged a very interesting role in director Teja’s upcoming Nene Raju Nene Mantri, in which she’ll have a mean streak.
“Catherine was gung-ho about the character and immediately said yes. She’s not someone who cares about what people will think or say. She felt the character was perfect to expand her abilities as an actor and immediately gave a nod,” shares a source. The film stars Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles alongside Catherine.
