Glam diva Shruti Haasan who delivered a hat-trick of hits in Telugu -- Krack, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy – has reportedly crossed the magic figure of Rs 3 crore remuneration in Tollywood with her next Telugu film ‘Dacoit’ opposite Adivi Sesh. “She took some time to pick her next Telugu film and was waiting for the right offer,” says a source and adds, “When the makers of ‘Dacoit’ agreed to pay her Rs 3 crore she gave her nod since she also liked the role and everything fell in place’ he adds.
No doubt, the daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan, is among big hits these days and she is trying to cash in on it. “She was drawing anywhere around Rs 2 crore to 2.25 crore for her previous films with Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna and now with the much-hyped ‘Salaar’ taking the industry by storm, she is charging a paycheck that suits her rising popularity,” he adds.
Armed with good looks and talent, Shruti is looking for meaty roles that would test her acting prowess. "She is playing a grey role in ‘Dacoit’ and she would be seen in a new avatar and challenge her histrionic skills,” he adds. Nonetheless, she has kept her ratings intact by sharing screen space with big Telugu stars and now the makers are willing to pay her fancy pay. She is one of the most happening actresses in Tollywood.
She has surpassed her rivals like Tammannaah and Kajal Agarwal who are stuck at Rs 2.25 cr per film and Shruti is surely laughing all the way to the bank.
