The latest buzz is that the young actor is now the leading contender for the protagonist's role in the biopic on the notorious thief of Stuvartupuram.

Some time back tinsel town was abuzz with the news that filmmaker Vamsi Krishna of Kittu Unnadu Jagratta fame would make a biopic on Tiger Nageswara Rao, a notorious thief of Stuvartupuram in the ’70s. Later, there were rumors that Rana Daggubati would play the lead role in it. However, the latest we hear is that actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas might be cast in the lead role.
While society knows Nageswara Rao only as a thief, there seems to be a lot more to him as he is apparently viewed as the Robin Hood of the poor. The young actor was touched by this aspect in the script of Rao’s life, and wants to reprise him. A source says, “Pre-production work is in progress and the remaining modalities are being worked out.”
