Ever since filmmaker Vikram Kumar’s next project with actor Nani was announced a couple of weeks ago, rumors are rife that Nani will also wear the mantle of the film’s co-writer. However, the director laughs off these rumors and clarifies that Nani is not penning the screenplay of his film. “No, Nani is not working on writing the film’s screenplay,” asserts Vikram Kumar, adding, “I don’t know whether he’s turning a writer, but as far as my film goes, he’s only the protagonist.”
Ask the director to divulge more details of the film, and he remains light lipped. “I can’t talk about it now because I am apprehensive that the plot line could be revealed. But I can say that Nani’s role and the film will engage all sections of the audience.”
On the film’s cast, he says, “I am still writing the script and might complete it in January. Perhaps, I can get a better picture on the final cast and crew.” The film’s principal shooting will commence in February.
