A fire broke out in a building in Mumbai, in which actress Rakul Preet Singh resides. The mishap happened on Saturday. While the cause of the fire is unknown, there were no casualties reported. A fire brigade and ambulance were rushed to the scene to put off the fire.
When we reached out to Rakul, she was shooting in Lucknow for her film Chhatriwali. “Yes there was a fire on Saturday and I wasn’t home as I was in Lucknow, shooting,” reiterated Rakul, adding that the accident happened on the 12th floor in her building.
“Luckily, the fire didn’t spread rapidly too far along. The fire brigade got there on time and quickly ensured that everyone in the building was evacuated. So while there was some rush, panic and tense moments, there was no major damage. And everyone could breathe a sigh of relief soon.”
