Amitabh Bachchan joins Balakrishna's next
On Wednesday, there was a lot of buzz as Nandamuri Balakrishna met Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Sarkar 3. Though sources initially said it was a courtesy call, it was later revealed that Balakrishna wanted to thank Amitabh personally for accepting a key role in his 101st Telugu film, Rythu.
The film is being directed by Krishna Vamsi and produced by V. Anand Prasad of Bhavya Creations. “The director narrated the story to Amitabh and he agreed to do it,” says a source. Amitabh Bachchan has allotted seventeen days for the Telugu film and the shoot will start in February next year.
“The makers want to start the shoot with the scenes which involves Amitabh and then shoot the other scenes,” adds the source. This is the first time that Amitabh Bachchan will have a lengthy role in a Telugu film. He earlier appeared for a few seconds in Manam. He also had a guest appearance in a film called Amrutha Varsham, a Telugu remake of a Kannada film in 2006.
