The makers of Naga Chaitanya’s next film have announced that Sai Pallavi will be his leading lady. The film directed by Chandoo Mondeti will show Chay in the role of a fisherman and Sai Pallavi as a rustic girl from the same community.
According to the director, Sai Pallavi was the first choice for the part. “The character has multiple facets. Even while she is intensely in love with the hero, she’s stubborn about her rights, and at times fierce too. We felt only a performer like Sai Pallavi could pull off such a character,” he said.
Chandu revealed that when he narrated the story, Sai Pallavi had asked questions about the script and the character, testifying to her logical thinking. “She has an amazing script sense; her ability to understand not just her character but the story in totality is great. She is choosy about films but she agreed to come on board after getting clarifications on certain aspects of the script,” added the director, describing her role as a ‘very intense one’.
This is the second time Chay and Sai Pallavi are being paired in a film. The first, Love Story (2021), was a super hit.
