Buzz is that actor Prudhvi Raj is a strong supporter of the YSR Congress Party and criticised Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi and Nagababu, so an angry Allu Arjun and director Trivikram threw him out of their upcoming film. However, Prudhvi clarifies, “I was never approached for the film, so there is no question of throwing me out of it.”
The actor recently went to Tirupati and shaved his head. “I took a few pictures with the bald head, sent them to director Trivikram garu and requested for a role in his film. However, I didn’t get any call or news from them,” says Prudhvi, who adds that politics and cinema are completely different.
“We criticise each other in politics but these are not personal accusations. Politics must not impact the industry,” he says, sharing that he maintains good relations with everyone, including the Mega actors. “I acted with Pawan Kalyan in the film Atharintiki Daredi,” he reveals.
As one of the few actors who was supporting Y. S. Jagan from the last many years, is he expecting something from the party now? “I never worked for any position. I met Y. S. Jagan garu several times when he was on his marathon walk. He is a people’s leader and I believe that he will do good for the State, so I supported him,” he says, adding, “If the party and Jagan garu ask me to do something, I am ready.”
