Prabhas hit the hardest

Most of Prabhas' projects stalled by COVID 2.0

No top actor in the country announced as many projects as Prabhas did — three — since the pandemic started last year, but the flip side is, the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 has hit the Baahubali star the hardest.

A film under director Nag Ashwin was supposed to take off early this year, but in the meantime, Prabhas announced two films — Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neil, and an untitled Sci-Fi movie to be helmed by Nag Ashwin.

And the actor had already started working on Aadipurush, directed by Om Raut. But the shooting of the film ground to a halt due to the lockdown in Mumbai. The makers had decided to shift to Hyderabad when the Telangana Government too announced a lockdown.

Prabhas had completed one schedule of Salaar a couple of months back, indicating that he was pushing for its release first. However, the second wave of COVID-19 stalled that shooting too. The Prabhas-Nag Ashwin film has hit a roadblock as well.

The actor is now mulling how to take his various projects forward. He is expected to soon hold talks with the respective filmmakers and give them clarity on the shooting schedules.
