Excited to revisit Arjun Reddy script'
I am really excited and looking forward to shooting the film.

Director Sandeep Vanga buoyed with the laurels of his directorial debut, Arjun Reddy, gears up for a remake of his film in Hindi, with Shahid Kapoor in the lead.
The pre-production for the Hindi remake of the super hit film Arjun Reddy is on in full swing. While Shahid Kapoor is all geared up to step into the shoes of Vijay Deverakonda, Sandeep Vanga, who directed the original, is confident of recreating the magic.
“I am really excited and looking forward to shooting the film. However, the Hindi version is not just a remake, but it’ll be more like revisiting my own script,” he said.
“The original plot is about a Telugu boy and a Tulu girl, but since the film will be made in Hindi, the story will be having a different cultural background that has a pan-Indian appeal. We are still working on fine-tuning the script,” he added.
The filmmaker exudes confidence in recreating the magic of Arjun Reddy in Hindi too. “The best part of the film is that the story is realistic and carries authenticity; so the key is to make the audience believe it. I am confident that if you have gripping content then you can engage the audience. I think cinema has the power to break all the barriers. Shahid and I have been working to get to the minute level of detail in the script,” shares Sandeep. The film will go on floors in June.
