The makers of Maha Samudram recently shot a mass song paying tribute to Rambha. No, it’s not a special song on the yesteryear actress, but it’s a groovy number in which only her cut-out and photos appear.
The song was shot on Jagapathi Babu (JB) and Sharwanand at a specially built set in Vizag. JB will be seen as a fan of Rambha. The filmmakers took the actress’s permission before filming the song.
“It’s a different and unique number. We sent Rambha garu the concept and the timing at which the song comes in the narrative. She liked it very much, and gave us the go-ahead,” explains the film’s director Ajay Bupathi.
Ask him whether the song is a tribute to Rambha, and Ajay says it is not exactly an ode, but certainly a song that’ll make people go nostalgic for that time.
“Most of us are fans of Rambha garu. In the 90’s, she mesmerised the audience with her performances on the silver screen,” he points out, adding that the song will be one of the major highlights in the action thriller
