Anand Deverakonda seems to be on a signing spree. After announcing two films, he has signed a comic thriller for director Uday Shetty.
“Anand will be seen as a rugged character with a lot of attitude and spunk,” says the director, adding that there’s a lot of fun and humour to the role too.
“Since the audiences have seen him in boy-next-door and romantic roles, I thought a makeover from these genres will bring a fresh appeal to him and to the script,” explains the director, adding that the film will go on the floors in August.
Uday says Anand will soon start prepping for his performance-oriented role. “He will work out to look leaner. The workshops related to his character will commence soon,” says the director, adding that the film is based on three elements, fear, conspiracy and greed.
