Elections take over Tollywood
With the elections taking over, the Telugu film industry continues to remain dull this week as well. There are no noteworthy films releasing this week, and almost everybody from the industry is busy with the Andhra Pradesh elections.
On Wednesday, actor Naga Babu joined his brother Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party and will be contesting for the Lok Sabha from the Narasapuram constituency. Interestingly, the producer Prasad V. Potluri will also be contesting but from Vijayawada and on a YSRCP ticket. Additionally, the producer Kodali Nani is going to contest as an MLA from the prestigious Gudivada constituency on a YSRCP ticket.
Interestingly, Balakrishna will be contesting from Hindupur on a TDP ticket while Pawan Kalyan is going to contest from Gajuwaka (Vizag) and also from Bhimavaram (West Godavari). And that is not it! While actress Madhavi Latha is contesting on a BJP ticket from Guntur, the popular actor and producer, Murali Mohan, has given way for his daughter-in-law Roopa to contest on a TDP ticket from the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha constituency.
And while those mentioned above are in the fray, many others from the industry are planning to campaign for the various political parties and it’s going to be one hectic year.
