Nidhi Prasad is back after a decade

The director admits that he watched the English classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers for inspiration.

Director Nidhi Prasad is all set to come back after a decade with a comic caper Oo Pe Ku Ha. He explains that the title comes from a popular proverb in Telugu — Oorlovalla Pelliki Kukkala Hadavidi. “I shortened the title to Oo Pe Ku Ha.

“After my film Holi released in 2002, I decided to do comedies. I prefer action comedies to dialogue centric comedies,” he says.

Assuring that his upcoming film will provide entertainment, Prasad says, “The story revolves around seven brothers and their marriages. Rajendra Prasad, who plays the elder brother, is looking for good alliances for his brothers and the film is full of entertainment.”

The director admits that he watched the English classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers for inspiration. “It was a ’50s classic and I got inspired from it and also the popular story Paramanadayya Sishyula Katha, which is about seven students. However, my story is completely different and I wrote a separate script for my film,” he adds.

Rajendra Prasad plays the elder brother in the film while Sakshi Choudhary is paired opposite him. “The film is complete and we are planning to release it in March,” shares Nidhi Prasad.

The director’s last film was Michael Madana Kamaraju starring Srikanth, Sunil and Prabhudheva.
