Vijay Deverakonda has started shooting for Fighter, straight after reaching Mumbai from Bangkok. He arrived on Sunday night and started work on his new film on Monday morning. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film’s muhurat was done by Charmme in a simple ceremony at Mumbai.
The filmmakers will continue to shoot for a few days there and then shift to another location.
According to initial reports, Jahnavi Kapoor was considered as the female lead, but the idea was dropped because of her busy schedule. “Now, they want to rope in another actress, Ananya Pandey, but the final agreement has not been signed,” says a source. The film is simultaneously being released in Hindi under a tie-up with Karan Johar, which is why the makers are looking for a Bollywood actress as female lead.
