Jayasudha has ruled the Telugu film industry as the lead actress for a few decades and continues to act in different roles even today. She is now playing an important role in the upcoming film Shatamanam Bhavathi produced by Dil Raju. The film is shot mostly in the villages close to Rajahmundry in Godavari district, and the actress remembers shooting in village Siddhantham for her film Mutyala Pallaki in 1976.
“I am surprised that most of the villagers still remember that shoot. Some even came up to me and told me where exactly I shot for that film. Now, after 40 years I am shooting again at the same place,” she says. She had stopped going to remote villages for shoots as she mostly prefers filming in Hyderabad, Chennai and the surrounding areas. “We stayed in Rajahmundry and for the location of the shoot, we had to travel 60 kilometers every day. It was hectic, but I completed it,” she says.
In between, the actress travelled to Bangalore to attend the wedding of Gali Janardhan Reddy’s daughter. “He came to my house and invited me. Since he is a big fan of mine, he requested me to come,” says the actress, who feels there was nothing wrong in attending the wedding.
