Staying positive to beat COVID-19

Richa Panai shares how she beat COVID-19 after testing positive

After exhibiting mild symptoms of COVID-19 in Mumbai last month, Richa Panai decided to undertake a test, which came out positive. But the actress tells us that she worked at ensuring she did not panic because of it. “At first it got me wondering how I may have contracted it because I haven’t been going out. But I was asymptomatic.” Instead, the Yamudiki Mogudu actress isolated herself in Mumbai, and completely cut off from the world outside until she tested negative again. “As I stay alone, having to do everything by myself was a huge challenge. But I have also been following all doctors’ instructions and having a lot of kadha to boost my immunity,” says Richa. “But despite the challenges, I knew this was also the time to stay positive and get the better of the virus. So I kept with my breathing exercises and ensured I was having nutritious food that was high on protein content and Vitamin C.”

Naturally, Richa’s parents who live in Lucknow were worried after learning that their daughter had tested positive for the virus.

“They even asked me if they could come to Mumbai and help me. But I insisted that they didn’t and let them know that I can manage,” she says with a smile.

Richa will be next seen as the female lead in Rajasekhar’s forthcoming yet-to-be titled film, under director Neelakanta.
