Vijay Deverakonda’s racer transformations

More than Rs 12 crore has been spent on the film so far, with the unit filming scenes even at MRF motor race track and Coimbatore Racing Circuit.

Vijay Deverakonda’s forthcoming film Hero is set to resume next month. The unit is making arrangements for another schedule at the The Buddh International Circuit (Delhi). Vijay plays a racer in the sports drama, which is being directed by Anand Annamalai. “The film’s unit had already shot for 15 days at the Buddh Circuit, spending more than Rs 50 lakh per day. Also, the unit had brought in expensive equipment (drone cameras, Scorpio arm, etc.) to capture even the minutest expressions and emotions of Vijay while shooting the race scenes,” informs source. For his part, Vijay has done extensive preparations and has worked at learning the ropes of racing to look like a racer. “He received training in how to handle and balance a racing vehicle. He was training in a racing circuit in Coimbatore for three days in a week for the last six months and has completely imbibed the body language of a racer,” adds the source.
