Be it award ceremonies, family get togethers or filmy functions, social occasions continue to bring siblings together. But what’s especially interesting is the warmth that celebrity brothers show for each other at such times. Whether it’s Chiranjeevi cuddling Pawan Kalyan or Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram’s much talked about PDA or Akkineni Akhil and Naga Chaitanya’s evident bonhomie at filmy dos, it makes film buffs and fans go gaga over their camera ready camaraderie. And why not, apart from serving as an eye candy, the brotherly love is quite inspiring.
The recent picture of Chiranjeevi embracing and wishing his little brother Pawan Kalyan on his birthday is a classic example of the bond they share (although their political ideologies are different). The photo, posted by Ram Charan, went viral within no time, much to their fans’ delight.

So, what makes them so emotional whenever they meet? “Pawan has always been an emotional guy,” comments Chiranjeevi, adding, “Our bond has always been the way it is now. I guess people are zooming too much into his life because of his ever growing stardom. We meet often on Sundays, festivals, family gatherings, marriages, we sometimes dine together, etc. So we are always together, it’s just that media speculates too much about our bonding.”
When asked whether such ‘(emotional) moments’ will appease the fans, Chiru adds, “I guess even during the music launches, our emotions reflect brotherhood. Since it is a big moment in front of our fans, it is only natural to get a bit emotional.”
Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram, who never saw eye-to-eye earlier, are quite the sight after being spotted together several times lately. Be it while paying tribute to their grandfather and late actor N.T. Rama Rao or at filmy events, the media is abuzz about their newfound love for each other.
Quiz Kalyan Ram on what has been bringing them closer these days, and he replies, “We have evolved as better individuals and have changed with time. We understand the significance of family bonding and in the process, we have come to know each other well,” adding, “Fans definitely would love to see the Nandamuri heroes as a cohesive unit!”
Concurring with his brother, Jr NTR adds, “We’ve learnt it from our elders; how they used to demonstrate their bond, and I think we are trying to replicate the same. In fact, Kalyan anna and I even thought of doing a film together, but it did not materialise.”Nagarjuna once described Naga Chaitanya as ‘mature and reserved’ and Akhil as ‘aggressive and chatty’. So what could be a better sight than the brothers partying together and publicly expressing the importance of their relationship. “There is nothing bigger than the family bond, and it means a lot to us and that’s how we were brought up,” shares Chaitanya, adding, “I remember my dad saying how big a responsibility it is to keep the Akkineni clan fan base going, so I guess our bonding is a step in that direction.”
