Prabhas, who has become a pan-India sensation after Baahubali, will now be seen in Saaho, a trilingual spy thriller. The soft-spoken actor along with his co-star Shraddha Kapoor are busy promoting the film in different cities.
Promoting his hugely-anticipated film Saaho, actor Prabhas throws the question right back when asked who is girlfriend is and when he will be getting married.
We quizzed Prabhas on rumours about him commanding a very high remuneration for Sahoo, his girl friend and marriage, he shrugged it all off. “In fact I have taken a 20 percent cut for Sahoo,” he said.

Q With fans’ expectations at a different level post Baahubali, how did you choose Saaho?
I wanted to do a romantic film after Baahubali. In fact Sujeeth narrated the line of Saaho even before Baahubali. I cannot compare both films as they belong to different worlds. The premise and treatment are dissimilar and distinctive. I am not aiming to surpass Baahubali. If my fans and audiences are satisfied, I am happy. Saaho is going to be first of its kind experience for action film lovers in India.
Q You spent four years on Baahuballi and then two and a half years on Saaho. How do you mentally prepare yourself to depict such vastly different characters?
I am not a method actor. I was very comfortable working in Baahubali for four years. Saaho is a normal contemporary character. No futuristic or past things. Sujeeth had workshops for this character and hence planning made things easy.
As far as time frame is concerned, we thought we would finish it in one year. But it took time because of the scale of the film, huge action sequences shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.
Q Reports on your remuneration was always hitting the headlines. The buzz is after Baahubali, Prabhas charges a bomb!
(Laughs). Saaho is my friends’ production and has a gargantuan budget. In fact, I took a salary cut of 20 per cent for the film. Moreover, our foremost concern was to make a quality film and spend money for its grandeur. There’s a high-octane action block in pre-climax sequence, which runs for a 12-½ minutes for which we spent around Rs. 80 crores.
Q Being the most eligible bachelor around, what about a reported girl friend or marriage?
(Prabhas simply shrugs). Girl Friend? Can you tell me who she is? Marriage will happen when it has to happen. And, I guess it will be mostly a love marriage.
