Director Puri Jagannadh, who desperately needed a break, has seemingly found it through his latest iSmart Shankar. The typical commercial entertainer is clearly headed towards a hit. The first day collections of this Ram-Pothineni-starrer seem to indicate that it’s going to be big film for both Puri and Ram.
In the Nizam area alone, the film has grossed nearly a producer’s share of `3.40 crore, the highest in Ram’s career.
In other areas too, though the film releases on Thursday, the openings are huge, leaving everyone surprised. Overall, the movie has collected `7.80 crore on the first day, a massive figure for Ram’s career. Distributors in some areas are expecting to get break-even on the second day itself. Ram, who’d left for overseas few days before the film’s release, is clearly over the moon. The social media is on an overdrive too, with many talking about the film and tweeting to Puri about to for his comeback.
