In his forthcoming film, Raja Vikramarka, actor Kartikeya Gummakonda is set to impress in a titular role. He’ll be seen as a newly recruited NIA officer. The film’s title is a namesake of Chiranjeevi’s yesteryear 1991-film, but director Sri Saripalli clarifies that his film doesn’t have any resemblances to Chiru’s film.
“We have titled the film so because of the film’s tone and hero’s characterisation; it doesn’t have any parallels to Chiranjeevi garu’s yesteryear film,” says the director. However, Sri is clear that his film’s title resembling that of Chiranjeevi’s previous film could be an added advantage. He further states that he’s done a lot of research regarding the script and hero’s character.
“It’s a new avatar for Kartikeya and his look garners fresh appeal. He perfectly suits the part and has done extensive workouts for the part,” reveals the director, adding that 80% of the shooting has been completed.
The film is a fictionalised narrative of real-life incidents. “It is about the protagonist’s journey and how it changes after he lands in a new mission,” the director says, thanking producer, 88 Rama Reddy, for his constant support....
