Ram Gopal Varma has landed himself bang in the middle of another controversy, once again revealing his insatiable greed for publicity.
This time, he has decided to ride on the back of an actress waging a lone battle with the Telugu film industry’s top guns.
While Sri Reddy’s ongoing battle against the casting couch has been taking many twists and turns, it has turned out that it was RGV who was behind her recent outburst. In a shocking turn of events, the filmmaker confessed that it was he who had persuaded Sri Reddy to slam Pawan.
A couple of days ago, Sri Reddy had taken on Pawan for suggesting that she first go to the police station and complain. Not satisfied with his response, she then went on to abuse him using filthy language and gestures. Ever since, she has been facing the wrath of Pawan’s fans on social media.
After his admission, RGV went on to apologise to Pawan and all those who were hurt.
In a video on the issue, he is seen stating that he was trying to cut a deal between Sri Reddy and Suresh Babu (whose son’s photos were revealed by Sri Reddy) for Rs 5 crore. He then states that he was shocked when Sri Reddy rejected the offer, and that his respect for her went up many notches.”
With this low blow, RGV seems to have got exactly what he wanted tonnes of publicity.
