After making her Tamil debut with Vellaiya Irukiravan Poi Solla Maatan and working in a handful of Kannada films, Telugu girl Shalini Vadnakatti is making her debut in Tollywood opposite Siddhu Jonnalagedda in Daggubati Rana’s production under director Ravikanth Perepu.
“I auditioned for one of Siddhu’s earlier projects, so that’s how I know the filmmakers. Later, director Ravikanth called and asked me to audition for this film. And the rest, as they say, is history,” says Shalini.
Describing her role, she says, “I play Radha, one of the three girls who enters the protagonist’s life. I play a college-goer and it is a modern character.”
Heaping praises on director Ravikanth, the Chennai-born actress adds, “He gave me the freedom to be myself in the film.”
Shalini already has a couple of projects in her kitty. “I am close to wrapping up Naveen Chandra’s film and also have another project to work under director Karthik,”
