Actor Rajashekar’s driving licence being cancelled after his recent mishap is old news. Rumour is the actor’s licence had expired in 2017, and he has been driving without having it renewed. However, his wife Jeevitha denies the allegation. “How can he drive without a licence?” she asks, stating that Rajasekhar is a law-abiding citizen.
However, she is quick to add, “Since the matter is sub-judice, I cannot talk much, but Rajasekhar garu will obey whatever the courts direct him to do.”
Apparently, the actor has been fined several times in the past for overspeeding. “But most of them have been on the ORR because he had to catch up with the shooting schedules, etc,” she explains, pointing out that several other people have also been fined for overspeeding.
Jeevitha does however admit that Rajasekhar drives fast. “Yes, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t drive responsibly. He has been driving since he was 14, and he self-drives even when he goes abroad,“ she says.
Dismissing concerns that such instances will affect his onscreen image, she vehemently adds, “In real life, Rajasekhar garu comes across as a funny and responsible man. He is the first one to respond to social initiatives, and this issue is unnecessarily being blown out of proportion.”
