The Baahubali star’s guesthouse in Rai Durgam was seized by revenue officials of the Serilingampally division on Monday. Apparently, the actor’s guesthouse falls in Survey No: 46. As per the latest Supreme Court verdict, the entire 84 acres extent of the land in the above survey number belongs to the government. Hence, the authorities have started to take possession of all the properties in that survey number.
Vasu Chandra, Deputy Collector, Serlingampally said that the officials went according to the Supreme Court ruling. “The Supreme Court recently gave a judgement that the entire 84 acres land in Survey No: 46 in Rai Durgam belongs to the government. Based on the SC judgement, we identified all the properties that fell under the said survey number and took them into our possession. Since his (Prabhas) house also happens to be under Survey No: 46, we went to the house and took possession,” shares Vasu Chandra, adding, “The verdict came out a couple of months back, but the delay in action was due to the elections in Telangana State.”
Apparently, the Saaho actor had earlier filed a plea asking that the land under GO NO: 59 be regularised. “This matter is already sub judice for a long time. And among the several petitions filed on the land, Prabhas too was one of them. He asked that the land under GO NO: 59 be regularised. However, with the latest court ruling , the entire extent of land belongs to the government, and all the earlier cases on this land now stand nullified,” Vasu explains.
Prodding Vasu whether Prabhas’ house will be demolished, he replies, “It is premature to comment; we have to look into his petition plea and then proceed accordingly in due course of time.”
