The makers of the NTR biopic cancelled the audio and trailer release function scheduled to be held in Hyderabad at the last minute. They had earlier announced that they would have two functions, one at Hyderabad and the other one at Nimmakuru, the late N.T. Rama Rao’s place of birth. Reportedly, director Krish and lead actor Balakrishna were not happy with the trailer they had made and wanted to do another one, hence they cancelled the function.
According to a source however, there is another reason for the cancellation, that being the recent political developments in Telangana.
“Actually, the team had planned something big at the trailer launch and they wanted to invite few political leaders too. Ditto in Nimmakuru. But with the TRS party’s sweeping victory at the recent elections, and Balakrishna’s comments against the TRS party during the election campaign, the filmmakers decided to cancel the event in Hyderabad,” the source said.
The Hyderabad event may be planned after the Nimmakuru event is over.
