After a successful debut in Telugu with the film Fidaa, Sai Pallavi is one of the most-sought-after actresses in Tollywood today. Word has it that the actress has now signed two Telugu films, one of which is Virata Parvam — a period drama directed Venu Udugula. The other is with Sekhar Kammula opposite Naga Chaitanya.
In Virata Parvam, the actress plays a Telangana folk singer, and one of her looks from the film has gone viral on social media. According to a source, the actress will not wear make-up for this period drama as she wants to appear more realistic. The film’s shooting began a few days ago, and for a particular scene shot in a bus stand in interior Telangana town of Parakala, people could not recognise her as she looked like a completely ordinary Telangala girl in that picture.
Rana Daggubati is supposed to do this film opposite Sai Pallavi, but he’s not yet announced anything about his schedule for the film. It’s also not known whether he’s back in India or still in the US. The film will also showcase Hindi actress Nandita Das in a key role in this film.
