Chiranjeevi’s nephew Panja Vaisshnav Tej’s upcoming debut film Uppena has been in the news for its interesting title and plotline. While the actor has been busy with prepping for his role in the action drama, the filmmakers hunt for the film’s leading lady seems to have concluded with Krithi Shetty finalised to play the role.
The Mangalore-based actress apparently found the script and her portrayal to be ideal for her debut appearance in Tollywood and agreed to come on board. The actress was reportedly “at ease” during the trial shoot, and her on-screen chemistry with Vaishnav Tej has been described as “quite fascinating.”
“The director was looking for an actress with a natural approach towards acting, so he finalised Krithi to play the part,” says the filmmakers. The film’s shooting is scheduled to commence next week, and its makers are looking forward to seeing Krithi on the sets.
