After model-turned-actress Ketika Sharma was roped in as the leading lady in Akash Puri-starrer Romantic, the film’s producer Puri Jagannadh has signed on Makarand Deshpande to play a significant role in the romantic entertainer. A source informs, “Makarand happens to be a close friend of Puri Jagannadh, and was last seen in the Telugu film Ek Niranjan, directed by Puri himself.
Puri felt that Makarand would be a great asset for the present role too. When he asked the actor for the part, he readily agreed to come on board.” Apart from producing the film with Charmme, Puri is also providing the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. Directed by newcomer Anil Paduri, the film’s shooting is currently underway in Goa. Hindi actor Mandira Bedi has also been roped in to play an important role.
