Actor Ram Charan’s latest film — a remake of the Tamil hit — Thani Oruvan — which will be directed by Surender Reddy was launched on Thursday at a simple ceremony.

The shooting for the film will start from Monday. Rakul Preet Singh is the female  lead and Aravind Swamy, who played a negative role in the Tamil version, will be reprising his role.

“Producer Allu Aravind is taking care of this project personally and he wants to make sure the film will be a sure-shot hit,” a source revealed.

Ram Charan’s earlier film Bruce Lee didn’t do that well at the box office so, they have made a few changes to suit local tastes.

The actor will be playing the role of a cop in this film. Interestingly, Allu Aravind and Ram Charan’s last outing was the blockbuster Magadheera, back in 2009.
