Rana Daggubati in Kerala

The source adds that the film’s story has a Naxal backdrop for which they needed a forest backdrop— the reason they are shooting in Kerala.

Shooting for Rana Daggubati’s much-awaited Virataparvam, a period drama directed by Venu Udugula, is on in Kerala, and it is expected to go on for a few more days. “The film’s unit shot some important scenes between Rana, Sai Pallavi and Priyamani, and a few more scenes of the schedule will be shot there,” says a source.

The source adds that the film’s story has a Naxal backdrop for which they needed a forest backdrop— the reason they are shooting in Kerala. The film, which is being produced by Rana’s father, Suresh Babu, is expected to release this summer.

After this schedule, actress Priyamani is expected to leave for Ananthapuram to join Venkatesh (Rana’s uncle) for the remake of the Tamil film Asuran.
