On Wednesday evening, many politicians, and film personalities attended Mohan Babu’s felicitation by T. Subbarami Reddy, organised by Kakatiya Lalitha Kala Parishad. The veteran actor, who completed 42 years of his film career was conferred with the title ‘Viswa Nata Sarvabouma’ at the TSR Awards.
Maharashtra Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao attended as the special guest, along with TS Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary, D.K. Aruna, Kishan Reddy and Geetha Reddy. Balakrishna, Jaya Prada, Jayasudha, Brahmanandam, Shriya Saran and Pragya Jaiswal were also present.
Mohan Babu recollected his struggling days and shared one of his experiences. “One day, I was hungry and visited a co-director’s house to have breakfast. My friend asked his sister to prepare upma. When I was trying to take a book down from a shelf, a small scorpion bit me! We rushed to a doctor and ultimately, there was no breakfast for me!” he said, adding that he is coming up with a book soon.
Mohan Babu praised Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao. Several others praised Mohan Babu for his acting career and social service. TSR said that Mohan Babu is the best in acting and dialogue delivery after the late NTR.
