After a series of delays, Ego is finally set to hit theatres this Friday. The romantic-comedy features Aashish Raj and debutante Simran in the lead roles.
Aashish says, “How an egoistic boy turns into a responsible person is the backdrop of the story.” The twist in the film, he mentions, is what leads to this transformation in the protagonist,” adding, “Director, Subramanyam has come up with a great subject. This is my second film and most of it has been shot in Amalapuram.”
Interestingly, he is a non-smoker but his character in Ego demanded otherwise. “I smoked in the film because the character demanded, but I quit after the film and didn’t make it a habit,” he shares.
There is also a special number featuring actress Kyra Dutt. Notably, Aashish’s last film, Akatayi, which also marked his debut performance on the silver screen, had a dance number featuring Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel.
“The song in my debut film was entirely on Ameesha but in this film, I also appear in the song,” says the actor. Mighty chuffed about his release, he says, “It’s a big day as the film is hitting the screens.”
