Composer turns lead actor!
Quite like composers Vijay Antony and G. V. Prakash, who’ve turned lead actors in Tamil, Tollywood composer Munna Kasi is soon to debut as lead actor in the film, Heza. The upcoming film is apparently about humanity and organ donation with an underlying message. Munna, who has also directed the film, states that Heza belongs to musical horror genre. “There is a strong connection between my film’s ghost (played by Mumaith Khan) and its music,” says Munna. Having worked as composer for a handful of films, Munna reveals that he turned director for the fascination of the craft.
“While working with several filmmakers; naturally, I was fascinated with the craft. And as I come from a music background, I decided to pen story that has a musical connect,” says Munna. He admits that simultaneously acting and directing is challenging. “But I embraced the challenge and was able to successfully pull it off because of the team’s support,” he adds.
