Reports about a second female lead in the upcoming Mahesh Babu film directed by A.R. Murugadoss have been doing the rounds. Apparently, the director had roped in Nayanthara for this special role, but he has denied the presence of a second female lead in his film.
“Rakul Preet is the only female lead in my film with Mahesh sir,” tweeted the director. The film is currently being shot in Chennai and will shift schedules to Hyderabad later.
The bi-lingual film, to be released both in Telugu and Tamil, is being shot in Chennai and Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu plays an Intelligence Officer in this action thriller, says a source.
Santosh Sivan, the internationally acclaimed cinematographer is handling the camera, while director S.J. Surya plays a negative character. The star cast comprises of both Tamil and Telugu actors like R.J. Balaji, Dheepa Ramanujam and Priyadarshi of Pellichoopulu fame in supporting roles.
