Ever since the trailer of Varun Tej’s forthcoming film Valmiki released, the actor has been getting rave reviews for his makeover. In the rustic drama, which is being directed by Harish Shankar, Varun will be seen in a role that has grey shades. In fact, this is the first time the actor has totally transformed his look —from an urban and suave lad to a raw gangster.
Even as the film’s teaser has been getting great response, Varun’s makeover has been catching a lot of eyeballs.
The filmmakers are elated with the response, adding, “It has definitely created curiosity amongst the audience, and we are glad that Varun’s makeover has been appreciated as much as the trailer. Director Harish Shankar is known for his slick action scenes, and films like Gabbar Singh and Duvvada Jagannadham only reflect his directorial flair.”
Meanwhile, the film, which is an official remake of recent Tamil super-hit film Jigarthanda, has completed the shoot. Producers Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta are planning to release Valmiki on September 13....
