Samantha’s been having a great year. Not only has her role in Rangasthalam wowed the audience, her choice of upcoming projects are fascinating.
The actress, who is currently shooting a female-centric film U-Turn, has also signed up for a female-centric film to be directed by debutant Girisayya. He has earlier worked under director Sandeep Vanga for Arjun Reddy.
A source close to the development says, “Women-centric Telugu films seem to be thriving as actresses are showing interest in playing meatier roles. When Samantha was approached for the part, she was more than pleased to welcome it. The actress found her character and plot to be substantial and came on board.”
While not much can be revealed about Sam’s role and look, one can definitely hope that it’s going to be a totally unique character.
The film, which will be high on entertainment will go on floors in August.
