Actor Arvind Swamy brought up his kids as a single parent. And it was anything but easy given his profession.
He says, “I am happy that I invested those 10 years for bringing up my kids. Now I have time for myself as my daughter is 19 and my son, too, is able to take care of himself.
“While bringing up my kids I had to strike a balance between being strict and being able to maintain my cool. While dealing with kids it’s very important to talk to them about what they would like to. I might not have liked certain activities of theirs but I wasn’t harsh with them. They discussed everything that was happening in their lives. I never tried to be judgmental or never said at any point that their activities were shameful.
“I have noticed that today’s kids may say something rude but after a few hours they don’t even remember it… they easily forget and forgive.”
