Teja is rumoured to be planning a biopic based on the life of late actor Uday Kiran, whom he introduced to the film industry in the year 2000, but the director has dismissed those rumours as false.
“It’s all fake news! I am not doing any film based on Uday Kiran’s life. I don’t know who started this rumour, but I have never planned any film like that. My next will be an action film,” Teja says.
People were quick to believe reports regarding the biopic because it is Teja who is credited with making Uday Kiran a star, but the director claims to have never even thought about it.
Meanwhile, reports that Teja will direct Rana Daggubati’s next project are also doing the rounds. “I will do a film with Rana, and it’s going to be a commercial film,” he confirms. When asked whether Rana will play a pilot in the film, as rumoured, he says, “No that is another subject; this one will be a complete commercial entertainer.”
