Director Rajasimha attempts suicide

Writer-director Rajasimha reportedly attempted suicide in Mumbai on Thursday. Though the reasons for his suicide attempt are yet to be confirmed, a source reveals that the Oka Ammayi Thappa director was suffering from depression.

Rajasimha is best known for his work on Rudhramadevi. Actor Allu Arjun gave him credit for writing his dialogues, which were the highlight of the film.

Other films that Rajasimha worked on as a writer include Shankardada MBBS, Bommarillu, Jhummandi Naadam, and Anaganaga O Veerudu. He made his debut as a director with Oka Ammayi Thappa, which released two years ago.

The film’s failure at the box office is said to have sent him into a state of depression. The director is out of danger at the moment. His reasons for travelling to Mumbai are not known.
